Marian College, a Catholic co-educational secondary college founded by the Brigidine Sisters in 1889. As a Kildare Ministries school, we draw on a rich tradition recontextualised for today’s world, providing opportunities for students to learn, to be curious, to grow and to flourish. Every student is known, valued and supported to thrive.
We believe education extends beyond academic achievement. We nurture the whole person - spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and socially - and aim to develop young people who are welcoming, respectful and inclusive; who embrace learning and strive for excellence; and who are responsible, independent and ready to contribute positively to their community. These Graduate Outcomes guide our work and shape the culture of our school.
Guided by our motto, Fortiter et Suaviter - Strength and Gentleness and the Gospel values at the heart of our community, we promote high expectations, respectful relationships, perseverance, justice, compassion and hope. Our learning programs are designed to be challenging, engaging and responsive, offering personalised pathways, real‑world learning and opportunities for creativity, innovation and growth. We recognise that students learn differently, and our intentional curriculum and contemporary pedagogy foster continuous improvement for all.
Our Teacher Advisor program strengthens our commitment to inclusion by ensuring every student is known, supported and connected throughout their secondary journey. In partnership with families, we guide students to flourish as thoughtful, capable and confident young people.
At Marian College, we encourage students to be people of courage and action - to find their voice, to stand for what is right, and to discover their place in the world with confidence and hope.
